In tough economic times it is tempting for sellers to attempt to go it alone in selling their homes. the logic is that not paying the commission will add more cash directly to the sellers pocket. Unfortunately, this logic leads to a seller who's about to learn a very painful lesson.
While sales information is available on line from a variety of sources, it is very rarely accurate information. Working with a Realtor means that sellers have access to accurate and current pricing information. Without accurate information, sellers are at beat, guessing about their homes true value and often they guess wrong.
The National Association of Realtors surveyed recently closed sellers found that those who went it alone sold their homes for, on average 20 percent less than sellers who worked with a Realtor. And that's only the hard cost-let's look at the softer costs of selling a home. There are marketing dollars advertising, attorney fees, time off from work to show your property.
Why spend the time going it alone when a Realtor is ready and educated to help you.
