With so much going on in Montgomery County, I wouldn't be surprised if you've heard the buzz that-- life is good here. As with all great things in life, they don't stay a secret for long. As more and more people are draw to the growth in business, industry, and quality of life here we are forced to adapt quickly.
This November voters will be asked to make some hefty decisions about the Conroe ISD growth specifically. With an influx in students year over year voters will be asked to help by voting on the referendum intended to fund construction of new schools and facility upgrades throughout the district. The bond issue will impact the whole district, whether it's a new school in a certain area, or upkeep to an existing school. District officials have started the planning process for the bond referendum, and have assembled a citizens committee that will recommend bond amounts and construction projects to the school board in June. The district has also completed a demographic study to project the expected student population growth and geographic areas that growth will stem from.
We should be seeing several changes soon. Be sure to keep an eye out, and I'll keep you up to date on current changes.
